Flaws of Capitalism

The success of capitalism throughout its history shows that free-market capitalism thrived because self-interest and competition played significant roles in economic activities, and the American sociopolitical system aimed to create a stable, just, and prosperous society.

However, over the past forty years, American capitalism' sociopolitical and economic institutions have turned free-market capitalism into a new form of feudalism where a small percentage of the population owns a significant portion of the wealth, similar to how land and resources were concentrated among the nobility in feudal societies in the 9th to 15th centuries.

Capitalism's operators are business owners and corporations that possess personhood status, which enables them to own and control the means of production and hire workers to operate or perform tasks on their behalf.

Regardless of the form of organization, INDIVIDUALS AND CORPORATIONS are the ultimate decision-makers in how profit is generated and how it should be distributed.

Shareholders, also known as stockholders, are the owners of a corporation. To manage a corporation, stockholders elect the board of directors, which in turn hires and fires the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and management team to oversee the company's day-to-day operations.

These individuals receive performance-based bonuses, stock options, and other financial incentives, as well as job security and promotion opportunities, to keep employees subordinate in a non-democratic environment, so that corporate profitability can be maximized.

Following their mandates, leaders of large corporations gradually dominated the market through mergers and acquisitions, leading to increased market share and reduced competition.

Their market consolidation resulted in one percent of business organizations controlling 99% of the American economy and workforce, followed by enormous income and wealth disparities.

As a result, the American form of capitalism has been under attack for a considerable time, and it is unlikely to improve.
